ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential

The essential functions include: 

  • Work alongside System Administrator to manage and maintain network switches, routers and wireless access points
  • Work alongside System Administrator to maintain internal/external connectivity between sites including redundant Internet lines
  • Ensure network stability/efficiency as new solutions are added to the infrastructure (i.e. VoIP, video conferencing, etc)
  • Monitor servers and network services on a daily basis to ensure optimal performance
  • Manage and maintain all on premise servers including Active Directory and Print Servers
  • Manage and maintain all cloud servers and services in Microsoft Azure
  • Maintain and ensure organized network closets/racks at each site
  • Create images for laptop and desktop deployments
  • Administer Active Directory users and groups
  • Oversee desktop/laptop management of Windows updates and Anti-Virus
  • Complete IT ticket assignments
  • Responsible for end-user support with hardware/software/network issues
  • Generate technical reports, memoranda and instructional materials for end-users
  • Perform scheduled after hours maintenance as needed
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
  • Develop written technical documentation for network infrastructure
  • Attend weekly IT meetings
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures covered in the IT Operations and IT HIPAA manuals
  • Other duties as required

Equipment and Computer Software Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer literate (basic working knowledge of Microsoft WORD, Excel, and Outlook) and data/electronic records program currently in use
  • Able to use telephone, office copier, calculator, fax machine, computer printer, projector, and scanner, or other equipment as required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly work indoors in a variety of environments
  • Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems or High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Windows network environment, TCP/IP networking, wired/wireless connectivity
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to assimilate emerging technologies & transform into solutions
  • Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides’ insurance carrier
