Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Carries out mission, vision and values established by the President/CEO and         Board of Directors;

  • Assists with all requests for placement by screening incoming calls in accordance with organization’s policies and procedures and on schedule to be determined with Supervisor;

  • Assists with placement decisions by providing requested information to Intake Coordinator;

  • Participates in rotation of after hours intake services;

  • Assists with maintenance of placement log, weekly and monthly reports and other relevant paperwork;

  • Provides data entry as required by internal systems;

  • Maintains communication with referring agencies;

  • Participates in departmental and agency meetings; and

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Program Operations

  • Answers incoming calls to the administration line and serves as initial contact to individuals entering the facility;

  • Timely opens files for new placements and closes files for foster children, youth and resource parents no longer served by the Organization;

  • Prepares and maintains home studies/adoptions files;

  • Manages and responds to facility and equipment needs; and

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. 


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job successfully.

  • AA degree or minimum 5 years related experience in customer service, program administration, office administration/management, and/or or combination thereof

  • Bilingual spoken and written English/Spanish preferred

  • Strong customer service orientation, good written and oral communication

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends according to an on-call schedule or as directed by supervisor

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders

  • "Can do" attitude and  team oriented

  • Active listener able to remain calm, gracious and professional in fast-paced and pressured human service environment

  • Sensitive to needs and concerns of resource parents and placement workers

  • Detail oriented, dependable and organized

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once efficiently

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including but not limited to, excel, word, outlook calendar, power point); ability to quickly and accurately learn electronic record keeping systems.
