Job Description

The essential functions include:

  • Oversee and supervise all Program Managers and Lead Therapists at Family Resource Centers (FRC)- Echo Park and provides clinical and administrative supervision
  • Responsible for single point accountability for program/services productivity to meet budget and contract goals
  • Interact with the community at large and serves as a Hillsides representative with specific allied agencies, other programs, and funding sources to create more programs and increase the ability to provide services
  • Ensure that all FRC- Echo Park program services are delivered according to program guidelines as well as in a clinically appropriate manner
  • Knowledge of and act in accordance with all prevailing governmental laws and regulations regarding the provision of mental health services, including confidentiality (HIPAA) and limits thereof, the reporting of child abuse/neglect, and related regulations
  • Knowledge of and act in accordance with Ethical and Professional Standards established by appropriate professional organizations (such as the Board of Behavioral Sciences and the American Psychological Association)
  • Lead, attend and participate in Hillsides administrative meetings, Family Resource Center meetings, including staff, in-service, clinical conferences, training retreats, and supervisory training seminars and/or conferences on an on-going basis
  • Provide supervision to pre-licensed/waivered staff and student interns, in accordance with rules and regulations of the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners or the Board of Psychology, as needed
  • Provide clinical and support staff with relevant training, supervision and feedback, which will allow staff to perform their specific tasks effectively
  • Provide minimal direct services to participants of the program; maintaining client files in accordance with contract requirements
  • Budgetary responsibility for the program including salaries, expenditures, and future projected needs
  • Be available on call to clinicians by phone, may be required to go out into the field
  • Other duties as required

Physical Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to use computer keyboard up to 50% of the day
  • Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

 

Equipment and Computer Software Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer literate (basic working knowledge of Microsoft WORD, Excel, and Outlook) and data/electronic records program in use
  • Able to use telephone, office copier, calculator, fax machine, computer printer and scanner, or other equipment as required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly work indoors in a variety of environments
  • Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Doctoral or Master’s degree in a mental health field from a nationally recognized accredited school or program offering a degree in mental health service delivery, or related health care field, plus at least three years of experience in an appropriate and relevant setting
  • Licensure for at least 2 years
  • Familiarity with coordinated services and rehabilitative mental health services in California highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a range of both clients and staff from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  • Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides’ insurance carrier

CQI STATEMENT

This position performs tasks that may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.  All Hillsides employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series.
